Cultural Storyteller · Communications Strategist · Founder

Bruja PR was founded by Lluvia Carrasco-Lomeli, a cultural storyteller and communications strategist rooted in advocacy, identity, and narrative power. At the core of her work is a simple belief: the right story, told truthfully, can shift culture.
The Foundation
With a background spanning public relations, marketing, and community-based communications, Lluvia Carrasco-Lomeli has worked across industries including fashion, healthcare, technology, finance, and social impact — in both agency and mission-driven spaces, shaping campaigns and helping organizations articulate who they are with clarity and intention.
She has worked within agencies including No Other, Fancy PR, and Infamous — gaining a strong foundation in systems, structure, and process. But as scale increased, a growing distance emerged between the work and the people it was meant to serve. Stories became deliverables. Clients became accounts. That tension became the catalyst for Bruja PR.
"I got into this work because I was tired of watching the most powerful stories — the ones that could actually change things — disappear because no one knew how to tell them right."— Lluvia de Milagros
She works closely with artists, founders, and creatives who are building with intention and seeking expansion without compromise. Growing up in a political family shaped her foundation in advocacy — instilling a lasting commitment to marginalized communities that continues to guide every campaign.
Three music industry agencies that built her foundation in systems, structure, and process — and showed her where the gap between scale and intimacy begins.
Fashion, healthcare, technology, finance, and social impact — a strategic breadth that informs how she approaches every campaign, regardless of industry or stage.
Growing up in a political family shaped her critical lens and instilled a lasting commitment to marginalized communities — one that has never left her work.
As a mother, writer, and cultural worker navigating identity and responsibility, her work is informed by lineage, shaped by resilience, and guided by a commitment to stories that are seen, heard, and remembered.
"Navigating systems that often reward proximity over authenticity, I saw firsthand how stories rooted in culture, nuance, and truth were frequently overlooked, diluted, or reshaped to fit dominant narratives. That tension became the catalyst."
Lluvia de MilagrosWhy Bruja
"Bruja" — often translated as witch — has long been misunderstood, misrepresented, and stripped of its truth. But at its root, the Bruja is a keeper of knowledge, an intuitive, a guide, a protector of what cannot be easily seen.
In reconnecting with her lineage, Lluvia came to understand the deeper resonance of the Curandera — the healer, the medicine woman, the one who carries wisdom through ritual, story, and oral tradition. Both are storytellers. Both are preservers. Both are bridges between generations.
For generations, these women safeguarded knowledge in the face of erasure, persecution, and loss. What was burned, silenced, or taken was never just practice — it was narrative. It was identity. That legacy lives on in this work.
At Bruja PR, storytelling is the medicine. To tell a story fully and truthfully is to reclaim power. To be seen in your authenticity is to practice something sacred. This is why we say: your story, your magic.
Your story is not just content — it is inheritance. It is craft. It is spiritual practice. It is birthright. And like the Bruja, this work is about protection as much as it is amplification. We don't just tell stories. We guard them.
